Sensory Processing Workshop by The Creative OT

The Creative OT based in Central Bedfordshire (www.thecreativeot.co.uk) will be running a sensory processing workshop on the following topics:

Monday 4^th November 2019 – 10 am to 1.30 pm

at The Orchard Centre, Sullivan Court, Kingsreach,

Biggleswade, Beds, SG18 8SZ

• Introducing all 8 senses
• In depth descriptions of proprioception/vestibular systems
• The scientific underpinning in sensory integration theory
• Physical activities/examples
• Praxis and motor planning
• Under/over reactivity levels
• Modulation and regulation
• Mapping ‘sensory profile’
• Sensory ladders/spiders and how to create one for your child
• Basic strategies/techniques for parents to manage their child’s ‘sensory profile’
• Q & A with a qualified sensory integration practitioner, occupational therapist.

Please note the venue change for this workshop.  It is being held at the Orchard Centre, Sullivan Court, Kingsreach, Biggleswade, SG18 8SZ.  This is opposite St Andrews School, East Site and has free parking available.
