SNAP Parent Carer Forum – Central Bedfordshire
This workshop is aimed at the parents of children or young people 0-25, with any ‘health’ need such as Complex Health, Learning Difficulty and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The original programme was funded by the Department of Health, written by parents and is led by an experienced trainer who is also a parent carer herself.
Why is SNAP PCF holding a meeting?
CBC budget for Children with Disabilities is currently £4 Million; they propose to cut £158,000.00 each year. CBC consultation ends on the 15th March about this review. Parent carers have told SNAP PCF they are finding it difficult to read and understand the documents they are required to read before they complete the survey. We need as many parent carers to feed into this review to ensure CBC understand the potential impact on families if these cuts go ahead.
